Internet Explorer crashing, exiting software without warning? This happens in both Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8.

I have a solution. The problem is Adobe Reader. Coding in the program is bad and it causes Internet Explorer 7 and 8 to crash without warning or can cause them to lock up.

In addition, PDF files are becoming infected with viruses and spyware that exploits a security flaw found in Adobe Reader.

Solution: Switch to a different PDF reader. I have one that I found called Foxit Reader.

You can get the FREE viewer at http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/

Or download from my website.

You can download the free version to your desktop.

First you must go to Control panel and Add-Remove programs to un-install Adobe Reader. Any and all versions you may have installed of the READER.

Once you have remove Adobe Reader you can close all windows and double click on the Foxit Reader program you downloaded to our desktop.

Select Run. Select Next. Select Next on the End User Agreement. Next screen leave the check mark in the License Terms but remove the check mark from the Ask.com and homepage items then select Next.

Select Custom on the next screen. Select the default location in the next screen and then pick Next.

Take check mark off Add a Desktop, Add an Icon, Add an Icon to Windows Quick Launch, and the Firefox Plug in. Leave all other checkmarks and select Next then select Install.

Before you select Finish, remove check mark from Run Foxit Reader, View "Readme.txt" and Create desktop icon for eBay. We don't need those.

THEN select Finish and close out of any other windows that may pop up within the next five minutes.

You're done. IE should no longer crash. Have a nice day.
